Evanston has lots of outdoor adventures nearby.  Spend time in Bridger-Teton National Forest or bike along the 16 miles of the Bear River Greenway.  Head to Bear River State Park to swim, paddle, hike, camp, and see wildlife.  If you’re lucky, you may see a white bison!  Play a round of golf at Purple Sage Golf Course, and head to the Piedmont Charcoal Kilns State Historic Site to see the three remaining kilns and the ghost town.

Spend some time traveling on the Mirror Lake Highway that heads into Utah, known for its beautiful views.  Head into town to see the restored Roundhouse & Railways Building and visit the Uinta County Museum.  Buy home decorations from Ivory and Iron and Home Decor.  Buy rocks and pottery from Antares Minerals & Pottery and peruse the merchandise at Best Kind Embroidery & Quit Shop

Need a bite to eat?  Grab breakfast at Jody’s Diner.  For lunch, get bison burgers and wings from Lincoln Highway Tavern or burgers and dogs from Mother Mae’s Kitchen.  Grab Mexican favorites from Paff’s and Jalisco Mexican Grill or have a steak dinner at Bon Rico.

Need a place to stay?  Book a room at Holiday Inn, Best Western, or Hampton Inn.  Need a whole place to yourself?  Consider booking a Vrbo.  Here are some of our favorites: A secluded Lake Cabin for 8, a Charming A-Frame for 6, and a Modern Downtown Home for 10.

Want to visit Evanston but not sure when?  Consider coming during the Evanston Cowboy Days, a three-day long festival honoring the town's western heritage with a rodeo, parade, and craft fair.  Whatever you’re into, Evanston, Wyoming has something worth seeing.  We hope this travel guide gives you a glimpse into life in Evanston that can inspire a future visit.
