Evanston has lots of outdoor adventures nearby. Spend time in Bridger-Teton National Forest or bike along the 16 miles of the Bear River Greenway. Head to Bear River State Park to swim, paddle, hike, camp, and see wildlife. If you’re lucky, you may see a white bison! Play a round of golf at Purple Sage Golf Course, and head to the Piedmont Charcoal Kilns State Historic Site to see the three remaining kilns and the ghost town.
Spend some time traveling on the Mirror Lake Highway that heads into Utah, known for its beautiful views. Head into town to see the restored Roundhouse & Railways Building and visit the Uinta County Museum. Buy home decorations from Ivory and Iron and Home Decor.
